Arrival from the airport to the Congress venue:
The Andel’s Hotel is located in the district of Lichtenberg, on the border with Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain, 13.5 km from the Tegel (TXL) airport and 21.3 km from the Schönefeld airport.
There are taxi ranks outside each terminal building at both airports.
From Tegel: The journey into the city takes around 20 minutes and costs around 30-35 EUR (journey + luggage).
From Schönefeld: The journey into the city takes around 25 minutes and costs around 35-40 EUR (journey + luggage).
By Public transportation:
Take the TXL bus and get off at the Beusselstraße stop. Then catch the S-bahn S41 (Ringbahn) to Landsberger Allee.
(Journey time by bus: approx. 26 mins. Fare: approx. EUR 2.80)
Take S-Bahn S9 towards Blankenburg and get off at the Landsberger Allee stop.
(Journey time: approx. 30 mins. Fare: EUR 2.80)

Registration and Hospitality Desk
The Registration Desk will be located on the Ground Floor and will operate during the following hours:
Thursday, October 24th, 14:30-18:30
Friday, October 25th, 07:30-19:15
Saturday, October 26th, 07:30-20:15
Sunday, October 27th, 08:00-12:00
Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing the COSTEM Program Book, your personal name badge, etc. Please remember to wear your name badge to all Congress activities and social events.
Certificate of Attendance
All registered participants will receive a username and password just following the completion of the 5th COSTEM Congress. Participants will be asked to log-in with their username and password on a special link via the congress website. Once logged in, your certificate of attendance will be available for download.
Exhibition Opening Hours
The Exhibition Area will be located on the Ground Floor and will be open during the following hours:
Friday, October 25th, 09:00-16:30
Saturday, October 26th, 09:30-18:00
The COSTEM Welcome Reception will be held on Thursday, October 24th at 18:30 at the Andel’s Hotel Lobby just after 2 pre-congress industry symposia, which we welcome you to attend. All sessions scheduled on Thursday will take place in Hall B (-1st floor).

The Opening Session of the congress starts at 09:15 on Friday, October 25th in Hall A (Ground floor).

The 5th COSTEM Congress has been reviewed and approved for CME accreditation by the EBAH and the Ärztekammer Berlin. Please review the CME processes for these entities on the congress website, see the links here, and apply with the accrediting body most relevant for your certification.
Poster Walk & Awards Session
We are pleased to announce the COSTEM Best Investigator Awards (for poster presentations) which will be granted to the presenting authors of the top 3 posters presented on-site.
The Poster Walk & Awards Session will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 19:15 to 20:15 in the Poster area located on the 1st floor foyer above the Exhibition Area.
All are invited to join us to network, enjoy drinks and refreshments and discuss the poster presentations.
Lunch and Coffee Breaks
Lunch and Coffee will be served at the Exhibition Area (Ground floor) for all Congress participants according to the official congress breaks as listed in the timetable.
Invited Speakers’ Presentations
Speakers are requested to visit the Speakers’ Preview Corner no later than 1 hour prior to the session in which they are scheduled in order to upload their slides for their session.
Posters should be mounted from Friday, October 25th before 09:00 and dismantled by the poster presenter no later than 20:30 on Saturday, October 26th (after the end of the Poster Walk Session).
Poster presenters should plan to be beside their posters during the coffee breaks as scheduled in the congress program and during the Poster Walk and Awards session scheduled for 19:15 on Saturday, October 26th.
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for posters that are not removed on time.
English is the official language of the congress.
Free WiFi is available on-site, please ask at the Registration Desk for username and password information.
Some participants may require a visa in order to enter Germany. Please check with your local Consulate or Embassy. Please remember that obtaining an entry visa is your own responsibility.

Informal for all occasions
October is a beautiful month in Berlin, with the autumn colors vivid throughout the city. However, it is recommended to dress warmly! You can expect an average daily temperature this month of 10°C (about 49°F). At night, the lows start to tease of the coming winter, with temperatures getting all the way down to 6°C (around 43°F).
Safety and Security
Please do not leave any bags or personal belongings unattended at any time, inside or outside the session halls.
Liability and Insurance
The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents, nor loss of or damage to private property of participants, either during or directly arising from the 5th International Congress on Controversies in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (COSTEM). Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.
